Spaces are available at REI in Mt Pleasant. You can google REI.com/events and then go to "training" and put in your zip code...you will see the classes scheduled by the store. Please go ahead and sign up if this fits your schedule.
The training uses power point...with slides developed by creative LCP members. You'll learn about places Ralph likes to paddle and get a good explanation of tides and planning paddles using the tides to the best advantage. He will show the tide tables he uses and discuss why you need to look at the actual high and low tide numbers printed. He'll also do a quick discussion of river and creek levels to pay attention to during rainy periods. (Remember when we used to have rainy periods?)
