The weather forecast remains with too much of a chance of rain on Saturday. it is a great beach trip, and rainy weather eliminates time at the beach. I am postponing the trip until Monday. I know some of you cannot make it on Monday...I'm so sad....but we do need the rain.
On Monday., 27 July
Meet at the kiosk and sign in and be ready to drive to the boat launch by 9:45. Put Botany Bay Heritage Preserve, Edisto Island in your mapping app). The trip is about 10 miles and is rated at L2.
No trailers are allowed at Botany Bay.
We’ll go through a cut through and then proceed to the beach on the Edisto River. We’ll take about an hour break for lunch and swimming, planning on returning close to the beginning of the incoming tide. We’ll be returning on “different water” than we went out on.
Expect to get back before 3:00.
