About this event
Nov 2 (Saturday): Coburg Creek Loop. About 5 miles.
Non club members and member guests must contact the trip leader before the trip.
Boat type, size, and paddling skills should be discussed with the trip leader.
Meet at Riverland Terrace Public boat ramp at 9:00am for a launch at 9:30am. (Put Riverland Terrace Public Boat Landing in your mapping app.
Rating: L1, semi sheltered, smooth pace
Logistics: High tide is 10:15am at the Elliott Cut entrance. We will leave the ramp and head towards the Stono River through Elliott Cut and pick up Coburg Creek from the Stono and head through the creek toward Wappoo Creek and back to the ramp and back before noon.
Trip Leader: Bev Cosslett
Note1: Paddlers can come with any type of kayak they like to paddle. We will be paddling through Elliott Cut at the start of the paddle, which can have significant currents, although we will be paddling through there near the flood and currents shouldn’t be too bad. There is not any landing location for a break on this paddle, but we will take a midway rest on the water.
