Where: Launch from Willtown Bluff Boat Landing by 11:15. (Put Willtown Bluff Boat landing in your mapping app).
Logistics: High tide at Penny Creek is about 12:30. We’ll paddle upriver with the tide for about a mile and then proceed into creeks and rice field canals. We’ll reach the entrance to Penny Creek at about high tide and we’ll get out…in the water on the sandbar) for a break and lunch. We’ll paddle back through canals and creeks with the outgoing tide to the launch site. Note 1: The group last year voted that getting out on the sandbar under water was better than trying to get out at the chimney and be on dry land for the break.
