The Lowcountry Paddlers coordinates about 40 paddling trips every year. Most are day trips to the coastal waters, rivers, creeks, swamps, and lakes of the South Carolina Lowcountry. We also host several EVENTS (parties!) throughout the year.

To view our trip and events click the link below. If you are a member you can use the Events and Trips tool to sign up online. You can also sign up at one of our club meetings or by contacting the trip coordinator. Visitors are welcome at the discretion of the trip leader. Visitors must contact the trip leader ahead of time.

Policies - Please Read Carefully

Club paddling trips are sanctioned by the ACA.

LCP MAKES NO CLAIM TO THE SUITABILITY OF THE TRIP/EVENT OR THE RELIABILITY OF THE ORGANIZER(S).

Our paddling trips are open to ADULTS only.

Trips and events are organized by individual members for the benefit of members and invited guests of the Lowcountry Paddlers and the American Canoe Association (ACA). Guests are asked to join the club after one trip.

Please note that LCP does not sanction trips. A "Sanctioned Trip" refers to a trip or event that meets all requirements to be covered by ACA liability insurance.

Non-ACA members are required to pay $10.00 per person (adult) for each ACA sanctioned trip or event. This fee is sent directly to the ACA for liability insurance.

The coordinator of each trip or event reserves the right to limit the size of the group or to refuse participation to anyone who does not possess the skill levels or safety equipment required for that trip. Trip coordinators are volunteers and merely organize the trip for the convenience of the participants and do not make any warranties of safety. Although we stress ACA safety guidelines, paddling contains unforeseen risks, and participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety.

An ACA Waiver of Liability will be required from all participants of ACA sanctioned trips and events.
