Subject: [LCP Announcement] L1 Club Paddle this Sunday, meet at 9:30 <<$217480731928$>>

I'm leading a super L1 paddle this Sunday.  We'll meet at Price Bridge landing and paddle upstream to just beyond HWY64, take a break and head back.  Even though there is tidal influence up here, there is very little tidal current.  This is a good trip for folks who have not paddled in some time  or are just beginning paddlers.  The creek is very sheltered.  I take many people who have never paddled before on this trip.

I scouted it a week ago and was stopped by 1 tree about 1 3/4 miles upstream. I believe we'll easily be able to get under it on our way upstream since we will be rather close to low tide and a week ago I was close to high tide. If we cannot make it under the tree, I'll add a 30 minute loop around an island where we may see some goats.

Long boats will do fine on this paddle.  if you have a choice between a plastic or a fiberglass boat, I'd recommend the plastic.

Logistics: meet at Price Bridge landing l (GPS address  3221 Price Bridge Lane Walterboro) at 9:30 and be ready to launch at 9:45.

Trip leader: Ralph Earhart   842 509 3037

Please either register on the club's web page, or e mail me to let me know if you are coming.

thanks,

Ralph Earhart
